Whitesell, did some caving in the 'twixt and 'tween (during which figured out new way to lace shoes and boots), synthesized Udoteatrial (the background graphic on this page), met Julie Luke (the most wonderful person in the world), finished dissertation and received PhD

Summer job at the Food & Drug Administration in Rockville MD, married Julie

Started at Columbia Law School in NYC, acquired Psychokitty (lived in Columbia-owned building at 112th & Broadway (up the street from the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and across the street from Tom's, the exterior of which is shown as the coffee shop in Seinfeld) -- click here to see it in the opening shot from the Daredevil movie)

Graduated from law school and received JD, summer job at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in NYC and DC (split the summer with a month of bar-exam-studying and -taking), took NY bar exam

Clerked for the Hon. Daniel M. Friedman on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, admitted to NY bar

Started work at Skadden Arps in DC, admitted to DC bar

Julie gave birth to our son, Tobias D. Lukefisher (named for Tobia Frankel, my best friend in law school who died in 1987)
1990
Left Skadden to start work at the National Science Foundation, Office of Inspector General (still happily there)
